Welcome to Adult and Community Education

At Brevard Adult and Community Education, our goal is to serve every student with excellence as the standard. We strive to provide you with access to programs that are high quality, affordable, and enjoyable. We have something for everyone. Classes are divided into two groups: Adult Education Classes and Community Education Classes. Both kinds of classes have very affordable tuition fees, and they are offered in our four adult education centers which are located conveniently throughout Brevard County.

Adult education classes provide opportunities for improving skills used at school, at work, at home and in the community. Enjoy the company of like-minded individuals as you learn new skills, earn your high school diploma, prepare for a new career pathway or simply add some enrichment to your life. Adult Education includes Adult High School/Credit Lab, ESOL, Family Literacy, Adult Basic Education, and GED. These are academic classes designed to help adults learn English, enhance basic skills, earn a regular high school diploma or a GED, or transition to career training or college classes to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to advance to a meaningful career. Online classes are available in some areas of instruction for those who have difficulty attending classes in person.

Community Education offers life enrichment classes for a variety of areas and interests including watercolor, sewing, computer applications and citizenship to name a few. Classes vary in length, with many classes lasting 4-8 weeks. Students are asked to pay a small fee for Community Education classes to cover the cost of instruction and materials. Check with the center you wish to attend for their availability of community education classes.
