The mission of the Adult/Community School Program is to provide comprehensive programs to improve the employability of the state's workforce through academic and community-based fee supported instruction for lifelong learning. Adult education's primary function is to reduce under-education and illiteracy among adults in Brevard County. Basic educational skills are considered requisite to effective citizenship and productive employment. Program goals for adult education and literacy are:
Due to legislative changes in 2011 beginning July 1, students will be required to pay tuition fees each term based on their residency status. The fee schedule as well as the requirements for establishing residency can be obtained by contacting the center you wish to attend. Adult Education is an open entry/open exit performance based format which allows you to register any time during a term and progress at your own speed. Our programs are open to anyone 16 or older who is not attending compulsory day school and has officially withdrawn from the K-12 program.
